China balks at lead limits on kids’ jewelry (USA Today)
The Chinese government opposes a proposed U.S. standard limiting the amount of lead allowed in bracelets, necklaces and other jewelry sold for children.

Recalls: fireworks, children’s jewelry (AP via Yahoo! News)
About 19,000 butterfly necklaces, imported by GeoCentral, because the necklaces’ metal clasps contains high levels of lead, which is toxic if ingested by young children.
